East Gippsland Photographic Society have a current membership of about 60 photography enthusiasts, keen to share and develop their skills in digital photography.
Skills range from beginners and people with point and shoot cameras or phones to experienced SLR photographers with many years of experience, all willing to share their knowledge with others.  Club activities include monthly workshops and lots of field trips throughout the year.
​Visitors are welcome to attend a workshop held on the 4th Wednesday each month.
We meet at Room 18, U3A Building at the HUB entry via the car park off Service St. Bairnsdale. 7pm for a 7.30pm start. 

​Club History

​It all started with three small notices put in the local paper late in 2007 and a get together of interested people was held on 16 December 2007.   About 22 people attended and decided to form a photographic club.  Our Official Formation Meeting was held on 16 February 2008, and the East Gippsland Photographic Society was born.

Our Vision: To foster the growth and development of photography in East Gippsland.

​Our Mission: East Gippsland Photographic Society is committed to improving the opportunities available to the East Gippsland community to develop their photographic skills and techniques, by learning to make interesting images, entering competitions, National and International exhibitions and attending conventions.  It will provide access for all whenever it can, encompassing a variety of skill levels, ages, gender, socio-economic backgrounds and geographical locations.
